You would like to back up your Starting Points for Explore.

Resolution

Starting points are locations similar to the following:

For Windows XP

C:\Documents and Settings\your username\LocalSettings\Apps\2.0\Data\J1JV1RCO.EA1\81XM9TNV.GZX\mark..tion_e9357f3b2cdc9099_0004.0000_9d7d52ba40d164b1\Data\EventDBExplorer\StartPoints\A6F7FvQfi96\*.wsp

For Vista or Windows 7:

C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\Data\9EN5LH0Q.9NW\JJ31VC00.Y9D\mark..tion_e9357f3b2cdc9099_0004.0000_9d7d52ba40d164b1\Data\EventDBExplorer\StartPoints\A6F7FvQfi9\*.wsp

Occasionally Explore needs to be uninstalled/re-installed. Backing up and restoring the Starting Points from the above location, will help ensure you do not lose them. Prior to restoring them, create a new starting point in Explore so the location for the Starting Points is created and can be found.
