Unable to connect to SmartReports

The Webtrends SmartReports client displays the following error:

C:\Documents and Settings\\bin\win32\wtcmdsh.exe CreateProcess error=3 at com.webtrends.docutil.downloader.Downloader_MainThread.launch_Converter(Downloader_MainThread.java:4513)


The issue is caused by multiple versions of java being installed.


To resolve this issue, follow the steps below.

1. Verify which version of java is supported with current Webtrends version. Please consult documentation.

2. Navigate to java archive to find the supported version. The link is “http://java.sun.com/products/archive/”

3. Look for JDK/JRE-6 or JDK/JRE-5.0 depending on what version of Java is required and download it.

4. Uninstall the problematic versions of Java that’s current on the system.

5. Install the download version of Java from step 3.
