Issue
The installer installs the WTMover service without any errors, or you try to manually install using the command “wtmover -install”. When you try to start the service, it will not start.
Cause
Sometimes it will get installed and the service will end up pointing to an invalid path to the executable.
Resolution
Right click on the “WTMover” service and choose “Properties”. The executable path should read something like: “C:\Program Files\Webtrends\modules\wtmover.exe”
If it doesn’t, edit the registry to point to the appropriate path.
Make sure that you back up your entire registry before making any changes.
- Go to Start > Run and type “regedit”. This will open the Registry Editor.
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
- You will see “wtmover” towards the bottom of that list, edit the key to reflect the correct path.
- Restart the wtmover service.
