Issue

Under “Scheduler” > “Job Status” the Deleted Data Cleanup job status message either states “Task execution has failed” or “No status messages exist for this job.”

Resolution

Perform the following steps to resolve issues preventing the Deleted Data Cleanup job from running successfully.

1. Verify that the Deleted Data Cleanup job is enabled by navigating to “Scheduler” > “Scheduled Jobs” and edit the Deleted Data Cleanup event. Remove the check from the “Disable this job” check box if it has been selected and then restart all Webtrends services.

2. If the above steps do not resolve this issue, follow the steps in KB”How do I repair a damaged MySQL database?”

3. Verify the Deleted Data Cleanup event has the correct syntax in the MySQL database. Stop all Webtrends services except the “Webtrends – MySQL” service and then open the wt_sched database in a database editor and navigate to the “wt_event” table. Change the “Profilename” field to NULL for the Deleted Data Cleanup job if it is not already set to NULL. Close the database editor and restart the Webtrends services and confirm the Deleted Data Cleanup job scheduled to run.
