Opening the User Interface after installation on Server 2008 x64 R2 results in a blank page with no errors.

Issue

After a new installation of Windows Server 2008 x64 R2, the Webtrends user interface opens to a blank page. No 400 or 500 errors display.

Cause

This can result from the Web Server role not having the Static Content option installed, which may prevent CSS code from displaying.

Resolution

The following steps resolve this issue:

1. Open the “Server Manager.”
2. Select “Web Server” under “Roles.”
3. Select “Add Role Services” from the right hand menu.
4. Check “Static Content” under Common HTTP Features and continue with the installation.
5. Restart IIS
6. Restart the Webtrends – User Interface service
