Cause
The iPod (iTouch) user agent appears as follows in log files:Mozilla/5.0+(iPod;+U;+CPU+like+Mac+OS+X;+en)+Version/3.0+Mobile/3A110a+Safari/419.3
You would like to add this user agent to the list of known user agents/browsers.
Solution:
You will have to manually add this agent to the browsers.ini for it to appear in the “Platforms” report. The browser will show up as Safari without modifying the browsers.ini.
Add the sections below to the browsers.ini file for iPod to appear in the Platforms report. The browsers.ini file is located in the following folder:
Webtrends\storage\config\component\lookupdata
[Platforms]
PlatformXX=IPOD (where XX equals the next sequential number in the platform list)
[IPOD]
log1=IPOD
text=iPod

Further information:
If you perform an upgrade after modifying the file, the upgrade will overwrite the values.
