Issue
When attempting to export reports in languages which use double-byte characters, e.g., Simplified Chinese, Microsoft Office 2000 displays the following error:
The specified character encoding ‘…’, is not supported.
Resolution
Microsoft Office 2000 is not supported in Webtrends Analytics 8.x. This is due to an issue with the method by which the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.4.x interacts with Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Office 2000 while processing double-byte character languages. The solution is to upgrade to a later version of the operation system, Microsoft Office, and the JRE.
