Issue
The New Visitor count greater than the number of authenticated users for my SharePoint site.
Resolution
The New Visitor flag is solely based on the presence of a cookie for the the initial visit to the site. This makes the flag independent of session tracking used in profiles.
In SharePoint environments users can access SharePoint with multiple browser from multiple devices, this means there is no limit to the number of times a visitor could be considered “new” even when cookie deletion is taken into consideration.
