Issue
What is the syntax to invoke a batch export from the command line?
Resolution
The Report Exporter was deprecated in version 9.5. If you would like information on upgrading to the latest version, please contact Webtrends Technical Support.
The syntax for exporting from the command line will vary based on the location to which the export will be saved.
When running the batch export from the \Webtrends\modules\RDE directory, use the following syntax:
C:\Program Files\Webtrends\modules\RDE\batch_export config_file.cfg
When running from the Webtrends Report Exporter directory, use the following syntax:
C:\Program Files\Webtrends Report Exporter\batch_export paramfile=config_file.cfg
If you try to export using the wrong syntax you may receive a java.lang.nullpointerexception error.
