How to configure Microsoft Office when exporting reports from Webtrends Report Exporter into Office documents using user-defined languages

Resolution

To export documents into a user-defined language, Microsoft Office must be configured with the target language as the default.

For users of Microsoft Office 2003, Navigate to “Start” > “Microsoft Office” > “Microsoft Office Tools” and select “Microsoft Office Language Settings.” In the Microsoft Office Language Settings dialog box, select the target language from the drop-down list under “Primary editing language” then select OK to save the change.

For users of Microsoft Office 2007, select the application menu in the upper left, then select “[Application Name] Options.” Under “Popular” > “Language Settings,” select the target language and save the change.

For users of Microsoft Office 2010, select the application menu in the upper left, then select “[Application Name] Options.” Under “Language,” add the target language, then save the change.

It should now be possible to export reports into the user-defined language.

Note: Microsoft Office is not supported with Webtrends beyond Office 2010
