How is the “Average Time to Serve” table calculated in Webtrends reports?

Resolution

The “Average Time to Serve (ms)” metric is based on the “time-taken” field found in some web log files. This is not compatible with Smartsource Data Collector logs. Currently Webtrends products support the “time-taken” field in the Microsoft IIS 4.x and later which use the W3C log file format. The Webtrends product does not utilize the information in this field for Apache log files, though the information is captured in the log file. “Time-taken” is defined as the duration of time, in milliseconds, that the action consumed.

Note: Zero values in the columns for the “Average Time to Serve (ms)” under the “Pages” table probably indicates the web server is not logging “Time to Serve” information.
