Issue
How do I increase the report limit for Express Analysis?
Resolution
The default report limit for all express analysis reports is 200. In some situations, it may be necessary to see more than 200 elements when viewing express data.
For customers using software, perform the following steps:
- Edit the profile and under the General Tab, make note of the guid in the Profile File Name field.
- On the Webtrends server, open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to Webtrends\storage\config\wtm_wtx\datfiles\profiles
- Open the .wlp file for the guid referred to above.
- Add the following section if it does not already exist: [ondemand]
- Add the following line, where x is equal to the new Express Analysis report limit (this will apply to all Express Analysis-compliant reports for this profile): trimcount=x
More Information
The default Express Analysis limit is 5000. For most customers, it is recommended keeping the report limit below 1000. If it is necessary to increase this even further, the analysis limit will need to be modified as well to keep the report limit reasonably constrained (i.e., 20% of the analysis limit).
