How do I grant “View Report” rights to a single profile?
Resolution
To grant “View Report” rights to a single profile, the following permissions must be granted on the individual user. This will ONLY grant “View Report” rights to that profile and nothing more:
- Within “Application Settings”>”User Management”>”Users” edit the user in question
- Under the “General” tab select “Custom User Rights” under the “Role” dropdown
- Under the “User Rights” tab, select “Action Rights” and put a check in “View” for “Accounts”.
- Under the “User Rights” tab, select “Profile Rights” and put a check in “View” and “View Reports”
- Under the “User Rights” tab, select “Template Rights” put a check in the template(s) that are a part of the profile that you would like the user to see. As certain templates may have more reports than another, select one or more depending on the kind of reports the user needs to see.
- Save the user.
When the user next logs in, the user will only be able to “View” the reports for the profile and nothing more.
