Issue

During an analysis job an analyzeprofile.vbs (value, value) error message appears.

Resolution

Perform the steps below to resolve this issue.

Register VBScript.dll

1. Click Start > Run.
2. In the Run dialog box type:

regsvr32 VBScript.dll

3. Click OK to execute the command.

For the remaining steps, you will need to have a special domain account created to run the Webtrends services as. This account must have access to all computers in your Webtrends installation, must be part of the Administrators group on those computers, and must have full control of the Webtrends directory and sub-directories.

Edit the local machine security policies

1. In Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy, expand the tree for Local Policies > User Rights Assignment.

2. Edit the following three policies:

  • Log on locally / Allow Log on Locally
  • Log on as a service
  • Act as part of the operating system (this option is not given to any account by default)
Note: The user must be a member of the Administrators group for the services to properly interact with the operating system.

4. Right click each of these policies, and then click Security.

5. Add the Webtrends services account.

Configure the Webtrends services to start as the Webtrends service account

1. Open Windows’ Services snap-in.

2. Right click the following service, and then click properties:

Webtrends – Scheduler Agent

4. Select the Log On tab.

5. Select “This account” and click Browse to select the account that was modified in the previous section.

6. Enter the password for the account, confirm it, and click OK to exit the dialog.

7. Restart the “Webtrends – Scheduler Agent” service.

Additional steps:
Disable any anti-virus or script blocking that you have on your Webtrends server. These programs may see the Webtrends VB scripts as a security risk and block them causing an analysis to fail.
Change the scheduler agent to log on as local system or change it to an Administrative account if its already logging on as local system.
Try running a MySQL repair if you are on Webtrends 8.0d or earlier using MySQL.
