Issue
After making changes to a Webtrends installation, the server displays a message indicating the machine is “pending a reboot” even after it has already been restarted.
Resolution
First verify that the machine has been restarted. If this is the case, the system registry must be edited to disable the prompt to restart.
Note: It is recommended a backup of the registry is made before making changes.
1. Open Windows registry editor.
2. Search for the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
3. Rename “PendingFileRenameOperations” to “PendingFileRenameOperations2”
4. Close the registry editor.
