The Webtrends ODBC driver does not appear in the Data Sources (ODBC) DSN list on 64-bit machines

Products

Webtrends Analytics 9.x
Webtrends Analytics 8.x

Issue

After successfully installing the Webtrends ODBC driver on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008, the driver is not listed in the DSN list in the ODBC Data Source Administrator.

Cause

The Webtrends ODBC driver is still a 32-bit application. As a result, the 64-bit ODBC application may not display 32-bit ODBC drivers.

Resolution

Though the machine may be 64-bit, the 32-bit version of the ODBC Data Source Administrator allows for the DSN to be created and displayed using the following 32-bit utility:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
