Issue

The following alert message displays:

The scheduler has stalled. It has been more than 8 hours since a task has started. For more information about how Webtrends responds to this problem, see Alert Configuration in the Help. For information about resolving the problem, see Resolving Alert Conditions in the Help.

Resolution

This message is not indicative of problems with the server or analysis, only that scheduled jobs have not run within a certain period of time. This states that for some unknown reason, no scheduled jobs have started in the past eight hours. This may appear during periods in which there are no regularly scheduled jobs or during a maintenance period.

This is commonly seen after performing a migration, as all services must be stopped before the migration can be done. If, when the system is restarted, it has been more than 8 hours since the last job ran then this message will display.

To turn this notification off, perform the steps below:

1. Navigate to “Application Settings > Monitoring > Alerts”.

2. Select “Stalled Scheduler” from the drop-down menu and uncheck “Enabled”.

3. Save the change.
