Webtrends Analytics 9.x
Webtrends Analytics 8.x

When trying to use the Webtrends Report Exporter, you get a Security Exception error stating “Missing required Permissions manifest attribute in main jar”.

Starting in Java 7 update 51, additional security measures were put into place that prevents the Webtrends Report Exporter from running with the default settings.

Stating in Java 8 update 20, additional security measures by Java have removed the slider bar and the Medium option.

For Java versions prior to 1.8.0_20.
In order to resolve this issue, you need to lower the security settings for Java. To lower the security settings, please follow these instructions:

  1. Open up the Windows Control Panel andselect Java.
  2. Click on the Security tab and move the slider bar to Medium.
  3. Click OK at the bottom
  4. Try to export the report again
Starting with Java version 1.8.0_20.

Add the site to the Exception Site List, make sure to include the port number. Without the port number Report Exporter will still continue to fail.
