Webtrends Analytics 9.x
Webtrends Analytics 8.7d
Issue
After upgrading or moving to 8.7d or 9.x, the Pages report displays no results in the Pages report.
Cause
With the release of version 8.7d, Webtrends has adopted the use of the WT.dl parameter as the default page view determiner. A page is defined as log file entry which includes the parameter “WT.dl” with a value of “0”. This default setting will not return results when analyzing standard web server logs, such as IIS or Apache, because the parameter has not been included.
Resolution
When analyzing web server logs, make the changes outlined below.
To change this option in the global settings:
1. Select the Administration console.
2. Navigate to Web Analysis > Options > Analysis.
3. Select Page View Definitions under the Hit Classification tab.
4. Select the radio button next to File extensions.
5. Save the changes.
To change this on a per-profile basis:
1. Edit the profile.
2. Select Page View Definitions under the Analysis tab.
3. Deselect the “Use the global page view definition” box.
4. Select the radio button next to File extensions.
5. Save the changes.
