Issue
The web site has been tagged but no log files are generated.
Resolution
Review the following steps to verify data is sent, received, and logged by the SmartSource Data Collector (SDC).
1. On the serving hosting the SDC, navigate to the following location:
\Webtrends\SmartSource Data Collector\cfg\
Open webtrendssites.lst in a text editor.
Confirm the site’s dcsid is included as a data source.
2. Use a tool such as httpwatch or httpfox to verify requests are sent to the SDC with the expected dcsid.
3. On the serving hosting the SDC, navigate to the following location:
\Webtrends\SmartSource Data Collector\log\
Open dcs.audit log in a text editor.
Search for error messages stating why requests are being dropped.
