Issue
New visitors are not being properly tracked across domains. Their first-party cookie (WT_FPC) is set to a value that starts with the number ‘2’ and is a string of letters and/or numbers. This behavior started after installing the SmartSource Data Collector (SDC) version 9.2a for Windows.
Cause
An issue was discovered with that version of SDC that prevented the request for wtid.js from being honored. This resulted in the JavaScript tag creating a random value for the first-party cookie.
Uninstall the current SDC and contact Webtrends Technical Support for a link to download the newest version.
