Cause
Situation:
Entries appear in log files and reports for a file called “favicon.ico.”
Solution:
The favicon.ico file is served by most web sites and is used in the browser Favorites or bookmarks to brand the web site. It displays in the address bar when viewing the page and is a 1616, 3232 or 6464 pixel square icon image file. By default, Webtrends ignores log file entries with page extensions ending in .ico so this will not count as a licensed page view/server call.
