Cause
The Clickthroughs measure is the count of hits which contained the Webtrends campaign ID parameter, WT.mc_id. These hits are counted as clickthroughs because WT.mc_id is intended to be used in a campaign target URL, which is the hyperlink assigned to a banner, text advertisement, or other content designed to encourage visitors to either enter the site from another site, or view a specific offer while already visiting the site. To ensure greatest accuracy of the Clickthroughs measure, WT.mc_id should be applied only to the target URL and should not persist on subsequent hits. These hits would be counted as clickthroughs, which is typically not the desired result as the initial clickthrough alone is the best gauge of a successful campaign.
