Cause
In a custom report the measure “Visit Page Views” doesn’t match the values for the measure “Page Views”.
Resolution
“Visit Page Views” measures the number of page views during the entirety of the visits where the dimension is present.
“Page Views” measures the number of page views that can be attributed directly to the dimension.
For example:
When a visitor comes to the site, clicks around to 15 different pages but doesn’t stumble on to a campaign, etc. until the 5th page. That’s going to be 15 “Visit Page Views”, even though the campaign only lists 10 “Page Views”.
