Webtrends Analytics 9.2x
Webtrends Analytics 8.7d
Cause
The Download Files report displays no data for files downloaded from the site.
Resolution
With the release of Webtrends Analytics 8.7d, Webtrends has adopted the use of the WT.dl parameter as the default method for Page File and Downloaded File determination.A page is defined as an entry in a SmartSource Data Collector-generated log file with the parameter WT.dl=0 attached to the cs-uri-query string. A Downloaded File is defined as an entry with the parameter WT.dl=20.
Customers using a logging solution such as IIS or Apache should configure definitions based on the file extension. To make this change, follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to “Web Analysis > Options > Analysis > Hit Classification > Download Definitions.”
2. Under “Define downloads using this method:,” select the “File Extensions”radio button.
3. Select “Save” to save the change.
