How to override the multi-homed domain information contained in a multi-homed domain log

Products

Webtrends Analytics 9.x
Webtrends Analytics 8.x

Cause

To ignore the multi-homed domain information captured in the log file in order to produce an aggregate report, follow the steps below.

Resolution

1. Locate the following directory.

Webtrends\storage\config\wtm_wtx\datfiles\profiles\xxxxxx.wlp

Where xxxxxx is the profile filename. To determine the profile file name,edit the profile in question within the UI of Webtrends and acquire the GUID from the General section in the “profile file name” entry.

2. Open the file in a text editor.

3. Under the [profile] section, add the following setting.

OverrideMultiHome = 1

Where 1 ignores the multi-home domain information, and
0 disables the option.

Note: Do a search in the file first to be sure it’s not already present. If already present, change the entry. If not, add the entry.

4. Save the changes and close the file.

5. Stop and then restart the services for the changes to take effect.
