Summary

If a customer has a large number of unique pages and are in risk of hitting their top pages table limit a few best practices have been established.

Cause

As a best practice, if a customer has a large number of unique pages and are in risk of hitting their top pages table limit a few best practices have been established. Below are the “best practices” that we have determined.

• Aggressive URL Rebuilding
• ONLY Daily and Monthly reports (the tables will be cleared and recreated on a monthly rather than yearly basis)
• In isolated cases, create a profile that does ONLY Top Pages reports and uses only daily reports (Tables will be cleared and recreated daily).

The result of the table limit being reached is that there will be no new pages added to any other reports that depend on the Top Pages table.

Examples may include any report based on path data, such as Single Level Paths forward or reverse, Paths from Entry, and any Smart View reports.
