Introduction

MS SQL Server 2008 Management Studio is required for editing the Webtrends system database but the version of Management Studio available from Microsoft includes the database as well the editor, and therefore cannot be installed.

Microsoft has a stand-alone version of Management Studio 2008 available, but this requires installation of the Microsoft Web Platform in order for it to be installed.
