How to change the Tomcat port in Webtrends 7 and Webtrends 8.0x

Cause

By default, the Webtrends Tomcat service runs on port 8009. To change the default port, modification of several files is required.

It is recommended that for each of the files below an original copy is maintained in case errors occur after restarting the Webtrends Tomcat and Apache services:

\Webtrends\common\jakarta-tomcat\conf\server.xml
\Webtrends\common\jakarta-tomcat\conf\workers.properties
\Webtrends\common\jakarta-tomcat\conf\server-minimal.xml
\Webtrends\common\apache\conf\workers2.properties (7.* and 8.0* only)

Replace each occurrence of 8009 in each file with the desired port number. After making the above modifications, save the files and then stop and restart the “Webtrends – Tomcat” and “Webtrends – Apache” services.
