Issue
The “Webtrends – Report Cache Server” service is not started. A loss of connectivity has occurred between the “Webtrends – Tomcat” service and the program database, “Webtrends – MySQL” service or Microsoft SQL. A typical situation might be that the computer system housing the MySQL or Microsoft SQL configuration database was restarted.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
1) Close the Webtrends browser interface.
2) Stop the Webtrends services in the following order:
a) Webtrends – Report Cache Server (if installed)
b) Webtrends – Scheduler Agent
c) Webtrends – Tomcat
d) Webtrends – Apache Note: The database service (whether “Webtrends – MySQL” or Microsoft SQL) does not need to be stopped.
3) Start the Webtrends services in the following order:
a) Webtrends – Scheduler Agent
b) Webtrends – Tomcat
c) Webtrends – Apache
d) Webtrends – Report Cache Server (if installed)
4) Open the Webtrends interface and open a profile report.
