Issue
Is the Webtrends ODBC driver supported under a 64 bit version of Windows?
Resolution
The Webtrends ODBC driver released with Webtrends Analytics 8.7d and later versions of software, is supported on Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 10. The Webtrends ODBC driver is part of the Webtrends Client Components package, available through Technical Support.
The Webtrends ODBC driver is still a 32-bit application. As a result, the 64-bit ODBC application may not display 32-bit ODBC drivers. Though the machine may be 64-bit, the 32-bit version of the ODBC Data Source Administrator allows for the DSN to be created and displayed using the following 32-bit utility: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
The ODBC driver is no longer the recommended method for programmatically retrieving data from Webtrends. We now recommend in almost all instances to set up the Data eXtration API (DX API). Instructions for doing so are here: https://onpremises.webtrends.help/docs/about-the-data-extraction-api
