Issue

Webtrends receives the following error while decompressing/running a profile:

Error encountered while uncompressing the local FastTrends Database:

C:\WebTrends\modules\analysis\engine\\wtm_wtx\datfiles\databases\ – (50) Disk full

Resolution

When Webtrends analyzes a profile, it must first copy and extract the FastTrends database from the analysis repository to the following location:

\Webtrends\modules\analysis\engine\[version]\wtm_wtx\datfiles\databases

This is the location that Webtrends uses to processes data and once complete, it pushes the data back to the Analysis and Reports data repository.

If the drive on which you installed the main application is running low on disk space, the above error can occur while extracting the data if disk space is depleted. At which point the data is deleted, the profile(s) fail, and the process is repeated again.

To resolve this, disk space must be freed up on the drive that Webtrends runs analysis. Ideally you would never want to drop below 60GB of free hard drive space. However each environment is different and you may find that more or less space is needed to run an analysis.
