Cause
HTTP keep-alives, or HTTP persistent connections, are requests sent from browsers to web servers that keep open connections across multiple requests. Without HTTP keep-alives, a separate connection would be necessary for each element requested on pages containing multiple elements, with the effect of increasing resource usage on the server, thereby decreasing server efficiency, as well as reducing the responsiveness of the browser. HTTP keep-alives are enabled in browsers by default.
