Tips for working with large files in UltraEdit

Cause

When using UltraEdit to manage large log files (e.g., one gigabyte or larger), the following configuration options can be set to reduce processing time:

  • Disable line numbers
  • Open without a temporary file
  • Disable file detection and conversion
Note: If no temporary file is used then changes made to the file will be permanent.
