What do the "User Status" messages mean for Webtrends On Demand user accounts?
Answer
When a user account is created or modified, the "User Status" column reflects the current state of that user account. Please review the table below for more information on each of the status messages.

Status Definition Next Steps to Make Active Status After Step
Active Active User N/A N/A
Active – e-mail pending Default new user state: User is sent an e-mail with validation key. First login for user will ask for Validation Key Active
Disabled – e-mail pending Only occurs if admin reset password on user from Active – e-mail pending state. User clicks link in e-mail and enters new password. Active
Disabled. 1.       Admin resets password
2.       User clicks on “I forgot my password” and enters e-mail address.
3.       Admin unlocks a locked account
User clicks link in e-mail and enters new password. Active
Locked – Failed Login
(If enabled.)
User entered an incorrect password too many times. Admin must unlock account. Disabled
Locked – Inactive
(If enabled.)
User has no logged in over configured days of inactivity. Admin must unlock account. Disabled.
