Introduction:
Enabling licensing debugging is used to troubleshoot specific issues with licensing and can help diagnose issues that are directly affected by it. For example, here is an error where enabling debug logging for licensing would be helpful:

Error: "Licenses found are not for this version"

In order to enable licensing debugging we will need to follow these steps:

1. Navigate to <WebtrendsInstall>\common\lib\

2. Create a file called wtlmstat.log

3. Open the plservice.ini

4. Change Logging=OFF to Logging=ALL

5. Save and close the file.

6. Create an empty txt file named wtlmstat.log in this folder:

\Webtrends\common\lib\

Once the debugging has been enabled attempt to license the application. If the problem persists gather the following log files and send them to technical support for further troubleshooting:

Webtrends\common\lib\ProdLicClient.log
Webtrends\common\lib\wtlmstat.log
