Situation:
The Webtrends - MySQL service fails to start and displays the following error:
Could not start the Webtrends - MySQL service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.
Solution:
1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the root of the system drive (c:). There should be a pair of files, my.cnf and my.cnf.bak, which must be present in this location to maintain database functionality.
2. In the event that the main file, my.cnf, has been modified, corrupted, or is missing, rename the .bak version to my.cnf, then make a copy named my.cnf.bak.
3. Start the Webtrends - MySQL service. |
